Bernhard’s Puppet Bonanza

Bernard's Bonanza

An innovative new approach to puppetry by Pickled Image. Bernard, a masked character, prepares for the show ahead, introducing his cast of puppets to the audience. It is obvious that Bernard is keen, but unfortunately also passed his prime. Once his gloved re-enactment of “Little Red Riding Hood” finally gets going, Bernard forgets his lines and mixes up the characters, turning the whole event into hilarious chaos. Special effects and audience participation add to the wonderful choreographed madness of this 20-minute performance.

The performance is for all ages and with limited English dialog.

Bernhardt’s Puppet Bonanza plays:

Main station: 7. Feb. at 16:00
Basement B: 7. Feb. at 21:00

Flea Circus

Flea Circus

Meet ”The Bofskoi State Circus” probably the smallest circus in the world. The flea-tamer presents a cast of talented fleas, but some of the fleas are misbehaving. As if that is not enough, by some a freak accident, the flea-tamer suddenly shrinks, and now the roles change – for the fleas are rapidly growing!

Garlic Theatre has conjured up a hilarious production. This is classic flea circus with a serious twist. Mixing mime, masks, animation, shadow-, rod- and hand puppets with live music, and a rather odd language called Bofskoi.

The show is for 6 years and upwards.

J’ai vu pleurer ma Dame

I For My Lady Weep

La Cie Pairs et Fils’ ”I have seen my Lady weep” is a classic story about unrequited love inspired by John Dowland’s (1563-1626) song of the same name.

The two marionettes that play the pivotal role in the plot get whirled into dreamlike sequences with flying books and angels in this strong visual performance without words. Driven forward by a marionette technique which is simply in a class of its own, the two marionettes succeed in painting a heartbreaking picture of their impossible love.

The play is for 8 years and upwards.

J’ai vu pleurer ma Dame plays:

Basement A 7. Feb. at 20:30
Vesterbro Bibliotek 9. Feb. at 17:30

Three entertaining and captivating scenes for age group 3 years and upwards.
