Copenhagen Puppet Festival

The Norwegian Nordland Visual Theatre is a place of production in Stamsund, Lofoten.

The Nordland Visual Theatre facilitates artists from all over the world in developing and producing their shows. The theatre offers accommodation, production, and tour support, and has a key role in the work of boasting the art of puppetry nationally and abroad.
An example is Houdini’s Suitcase, which plays at this years Copenhagen Puppet Festival, which is produced with the help of Nordland Visual Theatre.

Further more the Theatre each year arranges the Stamsund International Theatre Festival. The latest years the theatre has had its focus on puppetry for adults, which is a small niche in Norway as in Denmark.

The Nordland Visual Theatre supports Copenhagen Puppet Festival with sound and lighting, technicians and other technical support during the festival.

Nordland Visual Theatre is supported by the Norwegian state, the Local County and municipal authorities.
